Description

Do you also appreciate the little things in life? Do you want to help us enhance biodiversity?

At BeeGrateful, we develop bee-friendly environments, and we could really use your help in monitoring and analyzing our data!

🐝 Who are we? BeeGrateful is a socially responsible company dedicated to protecting wild bees and increasing biodiversity every day! We distance ourselves from the outdated image of biodiversity and bring a cheerful twist to it. Can you relate to this, and do you want to work independently within a growing start-up? Then you're the perfect fit for us!

📸 Who are you? We are looking for a motivated intern with a passion for animals, plants, and data; from fieldwork to reporting, you will be involved. During your internship, you will focus on the well-being of the 360 wild bee species in the Netherlands. You will regularly accompany us to monitor bee hotels, and your findings will be compiled into a comprehensive BeeGrateful Impact Report! Your contribution to the research will save bee lives and actively help to increase biodiversity.

✅ What do we offer? We offer an interesting and versatile internship in a small, yet incredibly friendly team where you will become a full member. You can develop your skills and choose your focus area! We will guide you when necessary, but also give you the freedom to work independently. Additionally, we offer a prorated internship allowance. Our workspace is located at the VU StartHub in Amsterdam.

Location: We'd love to welcome you in our office in the VU StartHub! However, we do understand that it can be nice to work remotely from time to time. You're free to do so, as long as you agree to attend meetings, monitoring trips and other appointments!

Language: Both English and Dutch speaking students are welcome! We do have a preference for students with Dutch writing skills.

Desired background: Any study that entails biology, environment, or sustainability in a WO level.

Duration: Anywhere between 2 and 12 months.

Working hours: Usually 9 to 5 on weekdays, but we might ask you to attend an event in the evening or weekend (not obligatory).
